Waterfall Resort is a family-owned and operated resort that has been in operation for more than a century. It is located on Prince of Wales Island, near Alaska’s Icy Strait Point.
The resort offers accommodations in the main lodge, cabins or yurts, and tent camping sites. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding on the Icy Strait Point Lagoon. They can also explore the Tongass National Forest by foot or bike.

The resort has been in operation since the early 1920s and is best known for its salmon cannery, which turned into a legendary sport-fishing resort. The cannery was built to process salmon caught in nearby streams and rivers but it soon became popular with anglers from all over the world. The owners of the cannery knew that they had something special on their hands, so they invested in more boats, docks, and facilities to accommodate the growing number of visitors.
